FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: stripping voltammetry method involves pre-concentration of the analysed components of the solution on an indicator electrode when polarised by constant electrode potential while stirring the solution and subsequent measurement and storage of current values during reverse electrode potential sweep. After the reverse potential sweep, short-term stirring and calming of the solution is carried out during the final reverse potential sweep, after which potential is swept in the forward and then repeatedly in the reverse direction, with measurement and storage of the current value during the second reverse sweeping. A voltage versus current curve is obtained by subtracting a similar curve during the second reverse sweeping from the voltage versus current curve during the first reverse sweeping.
EFFECT: reduced minimal determined concentrations of analysed substances, and high accuracy of stripping voltammetry owing to elimination of noise current.
