FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: tissue soaked in formalin is previously dried on air at the temperature for 1-3 days. Then it is cut (preferably across collagen fibres) with thin diamond disk, dried and polished on dense paper or glass with the help of diamond paste. Mineral phases are analysed in reflected light of polarisation microscope. If flaky, clustered or irregular scattered inclusions are detected in reflected light of polarization microscope, presence of oxides is detected in tissue, and if multiple scattered grains are detected, this indicates presence of sulfides.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of detection of mineral inorganic inclusions in biological tissues.
