SUBSTANCE: method to forecast progressing of shortsightedness acquired during school years in children of 10-14 and 15-17 years of age. Content of carboxypropeptideprocollagen of type I is identified in blood serum with the help of immunoferment analysis. If its content is within 316/8-456 ng/ml in children of 10-14 years and 388.8-579.6 ng/ml in children of 15-17 years of age, stationary treatment of shortsightedness is forecasted. If its content is within 458.4/8-456 ng/ml in children of 10-14 years and 285.6-309.6 ng/ml in children of 15-17 years of age, progressing course of shortsightedness is forecasted.
EFFECT: improved accuracy of forecasting of disease course.
