FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: 18-phase converter of three-phase voltage into direct-current voltage serves for feeding the direct current consumers with increased requirements to the quality of conversion at different levels of the rectified voltage. The proposed converter (dwg. 1) consists of 3 symmetrical three-phase power sources the homonymous voltage of which is sequentially shifted at the phase for 20 electrical degrees and 4 sequentially located valve groups the outer of which have 3 valves connected in anodic and cathodic valve star-connection the common points of which form the outputs of the device. The other 2 groups represent six-valve rings with three pairs of diametrical connection points of the homonymous valve electrodes. The outer valve groups are connected to adjacent groups in three junctions. Each junction is formed by valve free electrode of anodic (cathodic) valve star-connection and free connection point of valve electrodes of adjacent valve ring formed by electrodes of the other name. Adjacent valve rings are connected in three junctions each of which is formed by free pair of connection points of adjacent ring valve electrodes. Note that in these junctions the valve electrodes of one adjacent ring have one name, and valve electrodes of the second ring have the other name. Also, each junction of adjacent valve groups is connected to one of the phases of one of the three-phase power sources. Each phase of any power sources is connected through valve rings to the phases of adjacent power sources that have phase shift electrical degrees relative to this phase. Note that the converter is equipped with 9 additional valves. The valves of 6-valve rings are fully controlled, the others are non-controlled. Six additional valves form three-phase valve bridge the direct current outputs of which are connected to homonymous outputs of the device. Each alternating current input of the three-phase valve bridge is connected to one of the three-phase power source phases located between the outer sources that are considered outer relative to the outputs. Note that each of the three other additional valves is connected by free cathode to one of the phases of one outer three-phase power sources that are connected to cathodic valve star-connection, and by free anode it is connected to the phase of the other outer three-phase power source that falls behind by electrical degrees from source phase that is connected to this valve by cathode.
EFFECT: proposed 18-phase converter of three-phase voltage into direct-current voltage has more wide functional capabilities.
