SUBSTANCE: invention is related to medicine, cardiology. Systolic arterial pressure (SAP) is measured under conditions of orthostatic test, as well as body weight and height. Proper value of SAP values difference is calculated in vertical and horizontal positions of body (A) according to the following formula: A = 30 - 0.164 · B - 3.26 · C - 0.19 · D + 0.171 · E, where B - actual value of SAP in horizontal position of body, mm of mercury column, C - constant equal to 1 for men and to 2 for women, D - height, cm, E - body weight, kg. If actual value of difference of SAP in vertical and horizontal positions of body is less than A, availability of orthostatic hypotension is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method expands arsenal of facilities to diagnose orthostatic hypertension.
