METHOD FOR DETERMINING PREDISPOSITION DEGREE TO CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/02

Abstract RU 2693997 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to diagnostics. Person being tested, whose age is 20–35 years old, is placed in a horizontal position on a table provided with a device for measuring inclination angle from 0° up to 90° and support pad for tested person's feet. In the time interval of 7 to 10 min 5 blood pressure measurements are performed on the left and right humeral arteries. Subsequent measurements of blood pressure are carried out on the side with the highest values. Further, the person being tested is turned into an inclined position, wherein the individual inclination angle of the table is set such that the distance between the vertex of the person being tested and the lower part of his/her heels is 130 cm. Then, between 7th and 10th minutes of the inclined position of the person being tested, 5 BP measurements are taken. SBP values are averaged in the horizontal and inclined positions of the test person. ΔSBP is determined by subtracting the averaged value of the SBP of the horizontal position from the averaged value of the SBP of the inclined position. If ΔSBP is equal to 0 to 5.0 mm Hg, a condition corresponding to norm is stated. At ΔSBP value from 6.0 mm Hg up to 15.0 mm Hg, moderate degree of predisposition to CVD is noted. ΔSBP value is more than 16 mm Hg indicates a considerable predisposition to CVD.

EFFECT: method enables providing higher reliability of examination results, avoiding the influence of constitutional features of the test subjects.
