METHOD OF EARLY DIAGNOSTICS OF ARTERY REMODELLING IN CASE OF ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION FORMATION Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B5/02

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, cardiology. Rate of pulse wave spreading on part of bloodstream between carotid and femoral arteries is determined. If value of rate of pulse wave spreading is higher or equals 12 m/s, additionally functional test with peripheral vasodilator is performed. Rate of pulse wave spreading on the same part is measured again. If after functional test rate of pulse wave spreading has decreased, absence of processes of artery remodeling is diagnosed. If rate of pulse wave spreading has not changed or has increased, presence of vascular remodeling is diagnosed. Method can be used as screening method in clinical practice in patients at early stages of AH.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to detect additional factors of target-organ affection, high risk of development of cardio-vascular complications.
