FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cosmetology, more specifically relates to composition for hair straightening, having pH from 12 to 14 and including i) at least one generator of hydroxide-ions; ii) trehalose; and iii) diatomic acid. Invention also relates to method for lanthionisation of keratin fibres and use of trehalose and diatomic acid in straightening system on the basis of hydroxide to reduce hair damage.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce damage of hair caused by straightening compositions on the basis of hydroxide.
