SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises calculating train weight, determining train current location by onboard means, identifying track relief change section prior to reaching said section, and correcting locomotive power output parametre. Proposed system comprises processor location determination device and track profile data base. Processor incorporates algorithm of computing train weight and amount of train acceleration/deceleration.
EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption.
