FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of hydrogenating carbon oxides involves bringing a gaseous mixture of carbon oxides and hydrogen into contact with a catalyst consisting of iron-nickel or iron-cobalt bimetallic alloys as the active catalytic substance on an oxide support. The support should essentially have surface area greater than 20 m2/g.
EFFECT: high activity of the hydrogenation process.
