SUBSTANCE: method includes daily evaluation of egg-laying qualities during 60 weeks of life. One introduces a new indicator which is the number of chickens having changed wing pen-feathers at an age of 47-48 weeks. In the selection process one employs chickens whose mothers have changed 6 or more feathers during the period specified.
EFFECT: method ensures a high level of livestock egg-laying properties.
