SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of poultry keeping. Method includes assessment of quails by live weight and exterior. Additionally weight of eggs laid by bird at the age of 11-12 weeks is taken into account, and quails are selected with values of egg weight equal to the average value in the flock or higher.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to produce objective characteristic by egg weight and to perform purposeful selection of daughter quails with higher egg weight to gather production and pedigree stocks without long daily assessment of birds.
