FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: hemostasis arrest is carried out with help of double balloon catheter with its uterine balloon and support balloon installed axially with the possibility of force interaction between the opposing surfaces on the both sides of the lower uterine segment in the near mouth of womb in case of sequential filling of balloons with fluids. Uterine balloon is inserted into the uterine cavity, filled with fluid in order to achieve compression of open vascular of placental bed and to provide pressure on the lower segment of the uterus from its cavity. Then a support balloon is filled till its walls press the lower segment of the uterus from the side of vagina and till making an inter-balloon compression of parametrium in the site of mouth of womb with blocking of blood flow in the uterine arteries. After hemostasis arrest in the process of restoring contractile activity of uterine the initial pressure in the uterine balloon is kept by the proportional decrease in the volume of the fluid in it. With the full restoration of contractile activity of the uterus and after displacement of fluid from the uterine balloon the support balloon is to be emptied too The catheter is removed from the birth canal not earlier than one hour after balloons are emptied. A double balloon catheter for uterine postpartum haemorrhage treatment contains uterine balloon and support balloon made of elastic material, placed sequentially axially on a common axial element and having the solo line for filling / emptying with / from fluids. Uterine balloon has the shape of the rotation body with the head, side and tail and is located at the distal end of the axial element. The support balloon has the shape of the rotation body with the head, side and tail and is located at on the axial element proximal to the uterine balloon, and its head part is located opposite to the tail of the uterine balloon and is made with the possibility of creeping on the tail of the uterine balloon in the process of filling the support balloon. Balloons are installed so that there is a possibility for force interaction of walls of tail part of the uterine balloon and head part of the support balloon in the process of filling. Catheter provides an inter-balloon compression parametrium and uterine blood vessels due to a special form of walls and double balloon catheter design, as well as stabilisation of the catheter into the birth canal, opposition to its expulsion.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce maternal mortality, number of hysterectomy, dressings of internal iliac and uterine arteries, transfusion of large amounts of blood and number of postnatal diseases
