FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely obstetrics. After removal of placenta before sewing uterus unfilled balloon catheter is introduced into uterus cavity through hysterotomic incision. Its tube is passed through cervical canal into vagina and out. After sewing hysterotomic incision balloon is filled with solution until balloon walls contact with walls of uterus cavity. Anterior abdominal wall is sutured. Filled balloon is left in uterus cavity for 2-3 hours. After that, balloon is emptied and catheter is left in uterus cavity for 2-3 more hours. Then balloon catheter is removed from maternal passages.
EFFECT: method ensures prevention of complications after Caesarean section: atonic bleeding, hematometra, postpartum endometritis, failure of sutures, peritonitis, sepsis.
