FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: worm is treated by break-in with disk profile grinding disk inclined at dividing angle of turn ascent. The disk is imparted with rotating motion and length feed equal to turn of screw surface of the worm per one turn of a work piece. The grinding disk is rigidly fixed on a stationary flange by means of bolts and a movable flange; motion is imparted to the disk via the stationary flange. The stationary flange is positioned and is rigidly fixed on a movable rotating part - rotor incorporated into the second end asynchronous engine (EAE) containing the stator with stranded magnetic core, in slots of which there is positioned an m-phase primary winding. The rotor is used with a stranded magnetic core, in slots of which there is installed a short-circuit secondary winding, as the rotor of the first EAE with the stranded magnetic core, in slots of which there is installed the short-circuit secondary winding. The stator of the first EAE is used with the stranded magnetic core, in slots of which there is positioned the primary winding, and with the central shaft. The stator combined with the rotor and the rotor with the grinding disk are mounted on the central shaft on thrust bearings.
EFFECT: upgraded quality, efficiency and accuracy of screw surfaces treatment.
