FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: on the light path, the interferometer has a spectral filter for monochromatisation of light, an entrance aperture diaphragm and a screen with two pin holes. The pin holes are illuminated with sunlight passing through the entrance diaphragm. Two light beams diverging from the holes form an interference field which is observed or photographed in the output plane. A short-focus divergent lens is placed behind the screen with an entrance aperture. There are scanning and recording devices for determining the degree of spatial coherence in the output plane.
EFFECT: high degree of spatial coherence, high intensity of spatial coherence of light.
