FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: during realisation of method value of shift is defined when spectrum of laser radiation is processed. Specified processing of spectrum is done as laser radiation is put through interferometer re-tuned for several wave lengths, with registration of signal by photodetector. Shift of laser frequencies rake with self-synchronisation of modes is determined using produced distance between maxima of enveloping rake of bands and pass bands of interferometer with maximum intensity.

EFFECT: provides for measurement of laser frequency rake shift with self-synchronisation of modes, even when its width is less than octave.
