FIELD: physics; control.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to landing aircraft on a flight strip and can be efficiently used for airports with high volume of traffic. After selecting a flight strip for each aircraft, the given approach path is calculated based on the altitude at which the aircraft moves through a given distance from front end of the flight strip. A refined protected space is created for each flight strip based on allowable inclination angles of given approach paths for the given type of aircraft. The selection of each flight strip for land approach is confirmed and if this selection is confirmed, said determination of the position and orientation of the aircraft relative the selected flight strip is performed, satisfaction of notification conditions is monitored and notification on the flight strip selection is generated.

EFFECT: high reliability of landing aircraft.
