FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrochemistry, in particular, to section of direct conversion of chemical energy into electric one, and may be used in production of separators for fuel elements with alkaline electrolyte (AEFE). According to invention, method to manufacture separator for fuel elements with alkaline electrolyte consists in preparation of suspension of asbestos, filtering of liquid, drying and pressing, besides, particles of magnesium hydroxide are introduced into fibrous nonwoven material by method of potassium deposition from solutions that contain ions of magnesium with concentration of magnesium salts solution from 10 to 40%.
EFFECT: reduction of labour intensiveness of separator manufacturing.
