FIELD: physics, radio.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, specifically to piezoelectric equipment, and can be used in designing quartz crystal resonators used in radio equipment for different purposes. The high frequency quartz crystal resonator has a first quartz piezoelectric element excited by a first mechanical harmonic, an exciting electrode for the first quartz piezoelectric element deposited on one side of the first quartz piezoelectric element. The first quartz piezoelectric element is mounted on the second quartz piezoelectric element with a gap of not more than 40 mcm in between. The second exciting electrode is deposited on the second quartz piezoelectric element which, together with the first exciting electrode, forms a field in which both quartz piezoelectric elements are excited. The frequency of the fundamental harmonic of the first quartz piezoelectric element coincides with the frequency of the higher mechanical harmonic of the second quartz piezoelectric element.
EFFECT: provision for spectral frequency of the signal of the oscillatory system and reliability of exciting the resonator at operating frequency.
