FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to separate solid and liquid phases. Device comprises solid and liquid phase separation section accommodating multiple fixed and multiple moving plates arranged between the former and, at least, one screw to pass through aforesaid section. Moving plates allow revolving screw to press thereon to cause their displacement. Said revolving screw displaces initial material to be processed toward solid and liquid phase separation section discharge hole. Sections has gaps to discharge filtrate out. Processed material with reduced content of fluid is forced out through discharge hole into outer part of solid and liquid phase separation section. Section shaft diametre of, at least, one screw section on discharge hole side, gradually decreases toward discharge hole from screw point located along processed material flow downstream of discharge hole whereat processed material is fed into separation section. Lead angle of, at least one screw section, varies from 10° to 30°.
EFFECT: reduced wear of moving plates.
