FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in producing steel spring by hot coiling. Rod is heated, spring is coiled from said rod, spring is hardened and finally heat treated by tempering. Prior to coiling, heated rod is held at heating temperature, while hardening is carried out in continuous-sequential axial displacement in cooling medium. It is possible to produce spring from steel. Here, rod is heated, spring is coiled from said rod, spring is hardened and finally heat treated by tempering. Prior to coiling, heated rod is held at heating temperature, then rod cooling-down and spring coiling are performed at the same temperature, while hardening is carried out in continuous-sequential axial displacement in cooling medium. Possible also is the version wherein rod is heated, spring is coiled from said rod, spring is hardened and finally heat treated by tempering. Rod heated, it is cooled down. Homogenising tempering is performed at cooling-down temperature, while spring hardening is carried out in continuous-sequential axial displacement in cooling medium.
EFFECT: higher quality.
