FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to methods of producing high-strength wire from steel and can be used in production lines of said wire. Proposed method comprises unreeling of reeled wire, straightening, first induction heating of wire, its thermal deforming hardening, quenching, second induction heating to tempering temperature, cooling, centrifugal grinding and coiling. First induction heating is performed to temperature of 900÷1,050 °C, thermal deformation hardening is carried out in high-temperature thermomechanical processing device with orbital rolling (HTMP OR) with degree of deformation of 15–20 %, second induction heating is carried out to temperature of 300–550 °C. Prior to quenching, post-deformation holding of wire is performed, and tempered and cooled wire is subjected to centerless grinding. Line for production of high-strength steel wire comprises in-series installed devices for production of wire by specified method.
EFFECT: production of wire with polygonised substructure of steel with improved physical and mechanical properties.
