FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: measurements are performed by means of not less that two aircrafts flying in parallel headings and at equal heights. At that, on those headings there determined are spectral characteristics of sea disturbance by means of both aircrafts at optimum distance between those aircrafts. Oil spillage boundary is determined as per the contrast of high-frequency components of disturbance characteristics measured by means of both aircrafts. Spectral characteristics of sea disturbance are determined by means of exposure to radiation of sea surface by means of electromagnetic radiation, for example with pulse radiation in microwave range of wave lengths by means of one of the aircrafts at high angles relative to vertical plane.
EFFECT: improving reliability of determining spillage boundaries of oily wastes in the sea in complex hydrometeorological conditions and reducing electric energy consumption for performing the survey.
