FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: device for testing materials for wear at fine movements consists of base, of holders of samples and counter-sample, of loading unit, of drive and of mechanism of relative sample and counter-sample movement. Also, the mechanism for relative movement of samples and the counter-sample corresponds to three engaged evolvent gears, where one of gears is intermediate. The counter-sample in form of a spline bushing is attached to this gear. A spline shaft with samples attached to it enters the spline orifice of the spline bushing. A side gap is made between external side facets of samples of the spline shaft and side surfaces of slots of the spline orifice of the spline bushing. The value of this gap is within 0-0.2 mm. Between external and internal cylinder surfaces of splines of the spline shaft and the spline orifice of the spline bushing there are radial gaps, value of which exceeds the side gap under condition, that cylinder surfaces of splines of the spline shaft and spline orifice of the spline bushing do not prevent contact between external side facets of the samples and side surfaces of the slots of the spline orifice of the spline bushing, when the intermediate gear shifts relative to the spline shaft during device operation.
EFFECT: increased reliability of device for testing materials for wear at fine movements.
