FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for remote determination of content of alphitite in soil is based on soil electromagnetic wave emission. Under field conditions, soil brightness temperature and soil thermodynamic temperature is measured before and after freezing. Coefficients of characteristic thermal radio radiation of the soil are measured before and after freezing at a depth greater than the probing depth. Further, the volume ratio of ice and maximum volume ratio of bound moisture Wt is determined using radiation coefficients of the soil before and after freezing. Using regression equations or graphs, content C of alphitite is determined using the relationship: C=277.1·Wt/ρs+0.9595, where ρs is density of dry soil in the surface layer.
EFFECT: high accuracy of remote determination of content of alphitite in soil.
