FIELD: soil science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave method of determining content of physical clay and humus in soil, method involves measuring refraction index of soil with moisture content exceeding maximum content of associated water samples which is maintained in an airtight container for 1-2 days at room temperature, refraction index is measured at frequencies f1 = 0.35 GHz and f2 = 1.75 GHz, difference between refraction index Δn=n(f1)-n(f2) at frequencies f1 and f2 is measured simultaneously and absorption factor, difference of values of absorption Δκ=κ(f1)-κ(f2) and weight ratio of physical clay C in soil from relationship:
and weight fraction of humus in soil from relationship:
where C is content of alphitite in soil (weight fraction); Δn is refraction index difference; Δκ is difference of absorption values; H is content of humus in soil (weight fraction).
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining weight ratio of physical clay and humus in soil is technical result of invention.
