FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spin-echo signals are generated in a sample placed in a constant magnetic field using series of radio frequency pulses. The spin-spin relaxation time is measured without illumination and during continuous illumination of the sample with light in the optical and infrared range of the spectrum absorbed by a defined component or organic compound. Relative change of the relaxation time is calculated using the formula ΔT2i = (T2i*-T2i)/T2i, where T2i* and T2i are relaxation time values of the illuminated and non-illuminated sample, and concentration Ci of the i-th component or compound is determined using the formula Ci=k1i +k2i(ΔT2)k3i, where k1i-k3i are fixed coefficients.
EFFECT: simple method of determining crystallographic texture.
