FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: active and passive groups of satellites are additionally formed, which enables fast logical classification of a satellite, whose signals are detected, into the active group, classification into a candidate group of a satellite whose signals are to be detected, classification into a passive group of a satellite, the probability of detecting signals of which is negligibly small (lower than a given threshold); the rule according to which satellites are logically classified into a group enables interactive tracking satellite signals in real conditions; search is carried out in S steps. This will enable fast detection of high-power satellite signals at the first step, and detection of weaker signals of the remaining satellites at the next steps, which also enables to cut the time for searching satellite signals. Every time, current weight coefficients on each search step are updated only in accordance with true decisions taken relative the varying location of the satellite. Therefore, unsuccessful search due to a weak satellite signal (for example in urban building conditions) does not lead to erroneous calculation of current weight coefficients.
EFFECT: shorter time for first determination of coordinates of a user receiver.
