FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: for power conversion device, in which switching elements are cooled using air flows caused by vehicle motion, preferable position layout is proposed for parallel connection of multiple sets, every of which consists of multiple switching elements, as well as preferable design of radiator plates, included into cooling device. Cooling device (50A) includes base (40A) of radiator plates, serving at least as plane of fixation of switching elements, and multiple radiator plates (42A) arranged on opposite plane. Radiator plates (42A) are arranged so that they are in contact with external air for heat scattering. In case circuit of power conversion is single-phase or multi-phase bridge circuit, including multiple sets of branches, every of which consists of arm of positive side (UPC, VPC) and arm of negative side (UNC, VNC), then sets of switching elements (UPC) and (UNC); (VPC) and (VNC), forming branches, corresponding to phases, are arranged in a row on base (40A) of radiator plates in direction of motion of railway car with electric drive.
EFFECT: invention provides for compactness and improvement of weight and dimension indices.
