FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: level of sugar in blood for the moment of intubation or planned tracheostomy is determined in patient. If sugar content is 6.5 mmol/l and higher high risk of post-intubation complications with formation of scar stenosis is predicted. If sugar content in blood is lower than 3.6 mmol/l, post-intubation complications with low probability of scar stenosis formation are predicted.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to predict probability of development of trachea stenoses after long intubation in early pre-clinical period and in this way elaborate measures for prevention of complications development.
