FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in manufacture of cylindrical tubular billets and bars from high-alloy materials and alloys. Billet is pressed and twisted in strain point into screw section. Logarithmic degree of twisting strain makes 0.1-0.3 of that of rolling-out in pressing. Then, billet is reduced with strain making 0.15-0.25 of rolling-out in section pressing with due allowance for billet shape peculiarities.
EFFECT: higher quality of tube billet metal due to improved uniformity of its structure, expanded process performances.
