FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: glass with lead selenide (PbSe) nanocrystals is meant for use in laser engineering as antireflection filters (saturating absorbents, passive shutters) for realising mode synchronisation and q modulation of near infrared lasers. PbSe nanocrystals with size of 3.5-10.0 nm are formed in the glass after thermal treatment of the glass. The glass has the following components in the following ratios, wt %: SiO2 42.0-48.0; B2O3 12.0-16.5; Na2O 15.5-16.5; NaF 1.5-3.0; ZnO 9.0-12.5; Al2O3 3.5-5.5; PbO 3.5-5.5; Se 2.0-3.5.
EFFECT: formation of lead selenide nanocrystals with size of 3,5-10 nm for providing spectral absorption and antireflection in the near infrared spectral region between 0,9 and 2,6 mcm.
