FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves selection of the section of flooded oil bed with production and injection wells, in which by means of hydrodynamic investigations of production flooded wells there determined is the nature of distribution of oil-saturated zones in drained areas of the bed and their geometrical sizes. Availability of hydrodynamic connection between injection and production wells is established by means of indicating investigations. Direction and speed of movement of filtration flows is determined. According to the invention, the wells which have spatial extended oil-saturated zones in the bed area drained with the well are found out by means of hydrodynamic investigations of production wells located in the selected section of flooded oil bed. Specific geometrical sizes are determined: ro coordinate relative to production well in which oil-saturated zone begins and r1 coordinate in which oil-saturated zone ends. If r1 is less than radius Rc of feed circuit of the well, the wells the oil-saturated zone of which is located in interwell space of the bed r1>Rc are found out. Coordinate ro is determined. Results of hydrodynamic investigations of production wells and indicating investigations are analysed. On the basis of analysis there determined are geometrical sizes of oil-saturated zones and their azimuth location within the limits of the selected section of flooded oil bed.
