FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for utilisation of cold of not traditional sources as melting ice or snow and can be used in systems of provision of premises with cold. The source of cold has a chamber for ice storage made in an upper part of a case. The bottom of the chamber is made as horizontal row of pipes of a contact heat exchanger parallel to each other and with a gap sufficient for drain of melt water. Horizontal rows of an intermediate heat exchanger are positioned under each pipe of the contact heat exchanger. A row of pipes forming an economiser are arranged lower. The economiser is equipped with a branch for supply of cooled liquid. The source of cold has a collector by means of which the branch of cooled liquid supply is connected with the branch of cooled liquid withdrawal via a system of pipes of the contact and intermediate heat exchangers. Lower parts of the pipes of the contact and intermediate heat exchangers are equipped with crowns. Upper surfaces of the pipes of the intermediate heat exchanger are furnished with drop catchers made as two symmetrical lengthwise profiled plates arranged with gap relative to surface of these pipes. The pipes of the intermediate heat exchanger have a drop-like shape with their round part upward. The pipes of the economisers are ribbed.
EFFECT: increased generation of cold due to raised regenerating capacity of cold source.
