FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: part is completely immersed into liquid and maintained there for certain time not less, than eight hours equal to production cycle. Further, the part is taken out of liquid, and liquid is removed off whole surface of the part. Vibration is induced into material of the part, for example, by tapping surface of the part with a heavy object or by placing the part on a vibration bench. Presence of a micro-crack is revealed by detecting traces of liquid on surface of the part. Also, material of the heavy object has hardness less, than that of the part; weight of the object, force and impact frequency as well as a place of impacts are chosen depending on material and configuration of the part to receive oscillations of resonance frequency in material of the part intensifying escape of liquid on surface of the part.
EFFECT: increased reliability at revealing micro-cracks on surface of part.
