SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device to realise method to compact gathered mass laid in separate layers to produce silage in silage trench or surface silage storage using working agricultural machine equipped with ramming device. Gathered mass laid in separate layers is compacted by means of at least one ramming element, which transfers load to gathered mass and moves relative to it. Ramming element is rotated or oscillated around vertical axis of rotation. For each sealing element there are multiple scrapers, and these one or several ramming elements are arranged as capable of creating vertical force and making relative motion.

EFFECT: invention provides for even and more intense compaction of gathered mass laid for ensilage all over the surface.
