FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, particularly, to fuel tank and to method of its production. Fuel tank 1 is made from plastic material and comprises outlet 13 and stiling tank 3. Outlet edge features permanent joint with stiling tank edge with material closure. Note here that that outlet is provided with flange 5. Said flange accommodates electric and/or hydraulic device to feed liquid fuel to ICE. Note here that stiling tank bottom in, at least, one point is welded to outer tank bottom. Proposed method comprises the following stages: plastic sleeve is extruded. Then, pre-fabricated stiling tank is moved laterally from outside and toward extruded plastic, or mould insert is moved from outside against extruded plastic, and, thereafter, compressed air is blown into plastic sleeve.
