FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel vapor recovery system for a vehicle. System includes a fuel vapor canister comprising shell 202, compression plate 204 within the shell and end cap 208 having a hollow conical frustum shape. End cap has double sided spring interface 212 for contact with spring 206 and a double sided shell sealing surface 214 for coupling with shell 202 having double sided identical grooves 246 and 248, wherein only one of them is used for coupling with shell 202 of the canister. Spring 206 is attached to compression plate 204 and only to one side of the spring interface.
EFFECT: development of an universal fuel vapor canister to be used in various systems of fuel vapor recovery.
