FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: at least one stream of cleaning substance is directed to rotor blades of axial fan in specified time intervals. The rotor blades rotate at specified rotary speed during effect of cleaning substance streams. There are used cleaning substances not contaminating food products. As a cleaning substance there can be used dried compressed air or gaseous carbon dioxide or mixture of nitrogen and/or gaseous carbon dioxide and/or dried compressed air.
EFFECT: raised efficiency at removal of ice or snow, or layers of dirt off rotor blades of axial fans used for food products cooling or freezing.
