FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: device mainly includes three RC-circuits, each of which is made in the form of unit with external outputs, which is enclosed in tight housing, includes in-series connected capacitor and resistor, which are fixed in the housing and separated between each other with tight dielectric element; in each RC-circuit the capacitor and resistor is non-inductive, external outputs are made in the form of flexible high-voltage wires with flexible input elements or in the form of contact pads, tight housing is solid and made from elastic electric insulating material; at that, shape of the housing repeats the shape of resistor with capacitor, which are located one above the other so that their longitudinal axes are parallel and tight dielectric element is made by means of casting and occupies all the free space inside the housing. Resistor and capacitor of RC-circuit can be fixed in the housing by means of the elements enveloping the resistor and capacitor and repeating the shape of their cross section. RC-circuits can be electrically connected as per star-connected circuit with insulated neutral point or as per delta circuit.
EFFECT: decreasing the level of overvoltages, decreasing weight and overall dimensions of protection device of electric equipment against switching overvoltages and improving its operating reliability.
