FIELD: printing industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is a printing device, which is able to correctly identify initial position of feed roller serving to feed printed information medium, in process of its rotation using a simple structure, which does not result in cost increase. For this purpose printing device is equipped with a locking mechanism, link lever of interlock designed to stop rotation of feed roller in specified turn position, and preserves calculated value of feed roller turn, when feed roller is locked with the help of specified locking mechanism, as information on initial position. Afterwards operation of feed roller is controlled on the basis of saved information on initial position and phase of feed roller rotation produced from calculated value for feed roller.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of detecting position of feed roller due to availability of calculation unit that determines phase of feed roller rotation.
