FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport and may be used for measurement of rolling stock unit braking parametres. Method comprises charging tested act and lab-car braking system by locomotive accelerating it, uncoupling said car by automatic uncoupling device, actuating single car braking system and determining it braking distance. In test, single tested car is braked by radio control signals from locomotive to tail car unit or using microcontroller of said unit. System comprises lab-car and tested car with tested car-lab-car uncoupling means with braking line charged from accelerating appliances. Besides, said system comprises tail car unit used instead of lab-car to receive data from pickups of pressure in braking cylinder and line. Proposed system comprises automatic coupling device with controlled coupling-uncoupling function. Air control valve, braking clamps and braking lever transmission with automatic controller are arranged at the car to be tuned to rated parameters in braking.
EFFECT: complete and accurate estimation of separate car braking efficiency and expanded applications of tail car unit.
