FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: rolling stock brake control method consists in recording time intervals t1 and t2, measuring time interval between t1 and t2 and determining car with air leak source. Then, the time interval t3 when the rolling stock head brake air line pressure reduced by A without pressure release in the rolling stock tail air pressure line by rolling stick tail brake control unit or by the operator control valve and time interval t4 when the rolling stock tail brake air line is reduced by A are recorded. The difference between t3 and t4 are compared with the difference between t1 and t2, and the point of spontaneous air leakage is determined by the formula Ncar=(1/2+Δtmean/2tmean)×n, where n is number of cars and locomotive sections with n≥Ncar>0, Δtmean = t3-t4; tmean=(t1+t2)/2.
EFFECT: faster diagnostics and localisation of air leaks in rolling stock brake system air lines.
