LIQUID CHLORINE TRAP-EVAPORATOR FOR CHLORINATION APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC C02F1/76

Abstract RU 2414433 C9

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water disinfection and can be used to feed chlorine gas into treated water. The liquid chlorine trap-evaporator for a chlorination apparatus consists of a trap in form of a straight vertical tube joined by a pipe to a liquid chlorine container, and a thermoelectric heater. The tube of the trap has a bottom in the lower part and is connected to the chlorination apparatus by a coupler. The thermoelectric heater lies along the entire length of the trap and is connected to a controlled power supply. The trap is 25-35 cm long and its heating temperature is between 35 and 45°C.

EFFECT: reduced probability of accidents caused by break down of the material of the bottom of the trap by preventing droplets of liquid chlorine from falling to the bottom of the trap, longer service life of the chlorination apparatus, possibility of controlling liquid chlorine evaporation time.
