FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: method involves standardisation on weight ratio of water of the used substance which contains chemically combined water. The used substance, for which qualitative separation of the adsorbed and chemically combined water is possible, is preheated to remove adsorbed water and chemically combined water contained in the used substance is standardised. When preparing a standard sample of the composition of uranium oxides, the substance used is a monohydrate of uranium trioxide, which is preheated to remove absorbed water and the chemically combined water contained in the monohydrate is standardised.

EFFECT: maintaining the standardised value of the weight ratio of water in dispersed substances used to prepare standard samples, independence of the weight ratio value from environmental factors and from storage conditions for these substances.
