FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for stabilising radiation of gas discharge lamps has a gas discharge source of radiation in form of a gas discharge lamp placed in a closed light-proof cylindrical chamber, on the axis of which the lamp is placed. There is a hole for outlet of radiation into the external medium in the middle part of the wall of the chamber.
EFFECT: reduced effect of change in voltage of the mains supply, and characteristics of the external surrounding medium on intensity and spectral characteristics of radiation.
