FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: housing of electronic equipment includes metal walls (101), (102), (103), (104) mounted on the framework; at that, this framework includes two frames (111), (112) and four cross-bars (113), (114), (115), (116) of similar length, which attach two frames (111), (112). According to the invention, frames (111), (112) are made from cast and/or mechanically processed magnesium alloy, and at least one of walls (101), (102), (103), (104) is made of magnesium alloy sheet.
EFFECT: manufacture of housings of electronic equipment from materials with specific weight which is lower than that of aluminium alloys at use of new design of the housing, in which the framework made by casting and machining of the first metal material provides rigidity of the housing, and walls made of sheets of the second metal material provide the weight reduction.
