FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of metal and hard alloy nanopowders. Proposed method comprises heating the mix of tungsten and graphite nanopowder in sealed reactor to not over 1000°C. Heating is carried out for not over 70 hrs in rotating sealed reactor at not over (50÷60) rpm. Note here that graphite rods and tungsten nanoparticles (grain size of 10 to 200 nm) are used with the following ratio of components, in wt %: graphite rods - 6, tungsten nanopowder - 94.
EFFECT: high-purity tungsten carbide nanopowder.
