FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns powder metallurgy. In plasma reactor there are reduced oxygen-containing compound of tungsten by hydrocarbon with usage of electric discharge plasma with receiving of nano-powders mixture, containing of WC, WC2, tungsten and free carbon with content of total carbon 5.5 - 7.0 wt % and specific surface area 15 -60 m2/g. Mixture is averaged by carbon content of carbon by means of blending of received nano-powders batches with providing of total carbon content in the mixture in amount 6.2 - 6.5 wt % and it is implemented heat processing of powder composition in the presence of hydrogen at the temperature 850 - 1300°C with receiving of powder on the basis of WC. Received powder allows hexagonal crystal structure and wide range of particles medium-size from 0.03 till 1 micrometer. Into reactor it is additionally fed metal compounds, chosen from the group V, Cr, Nb, Ta, in amount 0.1 - 3.0 wt % with receiving of proper carbides, which are grain growth inhibitor at compaction of hard alloys on the basis of tungsten carbide.
EFFECT: it can be used for receiving of tungsten monocarbide of different dispersity, used in production of hard alloys on the basis of tungsten carbide.
